The Port Aransas Boatmen are incorporated and have obtained Sec. 501c(3) Nonprofit Organization Status.

The primary purposes of Port Aransas Boatmen, Inc., are to:

• Promote boating safety
• Promote good sportsmanship
• Promote conservation of natural resources and wildlife
• Foster and promote high standards in fishing industry
• Represent charter boat operators and recreational fishermen in legislative and regulatory issues which govern the fishing industry
• Provide financial support for community projects and scholarships
• Sponsor the Deep Sea Roundup (the oldest fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast)
